***WHAT IS A PACE?
            INFO AT BOTTOM OF PAGE
*** A hunter Pace is a timed trail ride of sorts.
The Fast Hunter Pace is ridden at a ground covering pace, with jumping. The time is ridden before the event by a staff member and after all pace teams have ridden,--- the sealed optimum time is revealed,  and the team coming closest to the "correct time" is the WINNER. The time is ridden as if following a pack of hounds in pursuit of a fox or coyote. As in a real hunt; sometimes you are going fast and sometimes you are waiting for the hounds to locate the scent .

The slower paces are ridden at a different pace, according to the entry form.

Frequently asked questions: Where do we go?=== The trail is marked with streamers- orange for the faster, jumping pace, yellow for the slower paces, and pink for the woods only pace. Sometimes all teams will use the same course and the streamers will be placed together.  As a rule, the steamers are on the right, and the path is mowed.  If you can't find a steamer, go back and look again.

How fast do we go ?: It's up to you.  The team that comes closest to the pre-ridden times WINS.

The Chase is actually a Race--- and the fastest time wins.

Teams are started at intervals on the course, so if overtaking a slower team---CALL OUT AND PASS AT A WALK.
