Horse Camp Adventure

  For children of all ages, parents, or adults.

Looking for a special horse experience for your family? Or just want  to immerse yourself, or your kids, or you in the world of horses for  the day? 

  This is it!  Try our  All Things Horse Adventure

       It's like going to horse camp for the day! 

  We start out with preride essentials, like leading, grooming, and     hoof care. Then on to different types of saddles and riding styles,    and how it all works. We cover important topics like how horses        think, see, communicate. (30-45 min.)

  Then off to the arena for a one-on-one riding lesson - covering       basics on commands and the importance asking quietly, but              effectively. We work on riding balance and position, and how this      affects your aids and how the horse responds. This includes            practice  around and over obstacles, learning how to control the        horse at different gaits. (60 min.)

  Next, we leave the arena for a trail ride into the meadows and        woods, where the riding skills you've learned will help your horse      become your riding partner. (30-45 min.)

  Then back to the barn for after ride care of your mount. This         includes grooming or bathing. This is a very important part of the      riding experience, because this is the best way to say, "Thank-        You"  to your horse for the hard work and time shared.

This riding package lasts approximately 3-4 hours, depending on time of year, ages and goals of participants.
